Horse meat contains high levels of essential fatty acids (unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and oleic acid), which are essential for good health. The unsaturated fatty acids found in horsemeat are said to be good cholesterol and are also known as a food with the efficacy of lowering cholesterol levels and preventing stunting, arteriosclerosis and myocardial infarction. It is also rich in iron, calcium and various vitamins (A, E, B1, B12, etc.), so it is known to prevent anaemia and osteoporosis, and various vitamins are known to have the following effects.
